Saving Christ...

"What man of you, having an hundred sheep, If he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?" Luke 15:14

Jesus said that He came to seek and save that which is lost. We are living in a day and age where perversion and immorality are at an all time high. The climate of this generation is seeker sensitive, filled with theories of relative truth, and altogether humanistic. People have become lovers of pleasures more than they are lovers of God. Knowledge, science, and philosophy have corrupted the pure religion of God. Technology and the latest trends have become the gods of the day, and the love of money has become the foundation on which many lives are built. But which of you has the heart of our Father, and the mind of Christ; to seek and to save that which is lost?

One of the definitions for the word "save" means to preserve. This scripture may have many meanings and a host of interpretations. But one angle I never saw before is this...

What if the lost sheep spoken about in this parable represented Jesus Himself? I mean we live in a generation where the majority haven't accepted the Lord for who He is, and what He stands for, His timeless teachings, and spiritual methodologies are constanly being challenged by this perverted generation: a generation always going about trying to destroy the integrity and authenticity of God's word and the testimony of Christ.

What man of you will leave behind the majority to preserve the integrity of the witness of Christ: to seek first the kindom, and to uphold His laws, and standards? What of you will sacrifice the crowd, and the acceptence thereof to be an uncompromising witness of Christ?
